Welcome to Bakkehusmuseet

The Bakkehus Museum is a museum of literature and cultural history in the home in which Kamma and Knud Lyne Rahbek lived at the beginning of the 19th century. Here, the couple created a place in which the great cultural personalities of the Danish Golden Age could meet and consort with each other, and the museum provides an authentic experience of the mood and setting of this home.
